About the owner.

A few of you were curious about the bitch who runs this site, so I thought I’d introduce myself. (:

Hi, my name is Steph. I’m a 19 year-old Sophomore in college, majoring in Journalism with hopes of becoming the country’s next great writer. Other than baseball, I enjoy traveling, fiction, fashion, music, and coaching little league softball.

Why do I love baseball so much? Because I’ve been there. I’ve been through the many aspects of the game. I’ve been a baseball fan for as long as I can remember. I played 4 years of varsity softball, and those years taught me a lot not only about the game, but about life in general. The things you see MLB players go through? I’ve been there too. I’ve been in a championship game with 2 outs, 2 runners on, with my team up by three and the opposing clean-up hitter at the plate. I’ve pitched with a tendonitis-stricken arm. I’ve been in a hitting slump, where I’ve gone 0-16 with ten strikeouts. My point is, I love baseball because I understand it. I see it for more than just a simple game of bats and balls. It’s a complete mental game. And the mental aspect is what I love. I love calling pitches. I love thinking, ‘Throw a change-up!’ when Cliff Lee has a batter on the ropes 0-2. Baseball is a game of finesse; it’s a game of pure emotion, pressure, and hard work. And that’s why it’s so special to me.

The Cleveland Indians are my number one team, despite their constant and embarassing struggles. I also support the Cleveland Cavs and Indy Colts. My number 2 baseball team is the NY Mets. Don’t ask me why or how I got into them. I just started watching them and my following turned into fandom.

My favorite baseball players are as follows: Grady Sizemore, David Wright, Omar Vizquel, and Nolan Ryan.
